Jameson Bratcher

He plays chamber music with the Evergreen Brass Quintet and the Choppers Brass Quintet and has performed with the Denver Brass, Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet, Aurora Symphony Brass Quintet and Parnassus Project. Symphonically he has performed with Philharmonia Northwest, Longmont Symphony Orchestra, and freelance orchestras.

Jameson takes special pleasure in nonindigenous tuba appearances such as live performances with Deep Sea Diver and The Sing Team and recording with Barcelona (Capitol Records) Courtenay Green, and King’s Kaleidoscope.

Deeply involved in not only the creation of music but of young musicians, Jameson works with the Seattle and Cascade Youth Symphonies and teaches in six different Puget Sound school districts as a brass coach. He also maintains a private studio and teaches at Edmonds Community College.

Jameson is deeply blessed to have studied with John Van Houten (LA studio musician) while earning his B.M. in Tuba Performance at Azusa Pacific university; Warren Deck (New York Philharmonic) and Kathleen Brantigan (Founder, Denver Brass) while earning his M.M. in Tuba Performance and in masterclasses with Gene Pokorny (Chicago Symphony).
